A little tool for the things you build

Your stack. Ready to share.

Paste a Compose file. Get a diagram for your README, docs, or next post.

No account. No storage.Your file is parsed in memory and discarded after each response.
01

Compose file

compose.yamlYAML

Drop a .yaml file here. Maximum 128 KiB. The text is sent to the Stack Card parser, processed in memory and never stored.

02

Your stack card

Only what’s in your file.

Drag, scroll or use the arrow keys to pan. Ctrl or Command with the wheel, pinch, or the plus and minus keys zoom. F or 0 fits the diagram, W fits its width, 1 shows it at 100%.

One last look

Make it shareable.

Review the visible metadata

Environment values, commands, labels, host addresses and mount paths are never embedded. Names can still be sensitive. Anonymization is a convenience, not a secret scanner.

Save the downloaded SVG to docs/stack-card.svg in your repository. The image is rendered in your browser; no hosted image or public share URL is created.

What the card actually says

Three views, no invented traffic

Dependencies: an arrow from app to db means app declares depends_on: db. This is startup ordering, not proof of an API or database connection. Network namespace sharing is shown separately.

Networks: dashed lines mean membership. The implicit default network is labeled. Host, none, and container/service namespace modes are not silently treated as default networks.

Storage: connections represent declared mounts. Named, external, anonymous, bind and tmpfs mounts are distinguished. Source and target paths are omitted.

Where your file goes

After a short pause in typing, the editor text is sent over HTTPS to the Stack Card server, which parses it in memory in an isolated worker and returns a reduced model: names, images, ports, mounts and relationships. Environment values, commands and paths are dropped. The server does not log, save or share the text, and keeps nothing after the response. There are no accounts, analytics, cookies or saved projects.

The diagram, the review dialog and the SVG/PNG exports are produced in your browser. Names and image references can themselves reveal information. Check the export preview, and turn off Images or use Anonymize before sharing. If a file contains real secrets, remove them before pasting.

A focused Compose subset

One file, up to 36 services and 128 KiB. Short/long ports, mounts, network membership, dependencies, profiles, YAML anchors and merge keys are understood. All declared profiles are shown.

Includes, extends, multiple-file overrides, .env resolution, image inspection, actual networking, and deployment are not implemented. This is a diagram tool, not a Compose validator. Unvisualized relation fields generate notes.

Keyboard, preview & exports

Tab inserts two spaces in the editor. Press Escape then Tab to leave it. In the preview, drag or scroll to pan and use Ctrl/⌘ + wheel or a pinch to zoom. With the preview focused, the arrow keys pan, + and − zoom, F or 0 fits, W fits the width and 1 shows 100%. The full-screen button opens the preview on its own; Esc closes it. Zoom and pan only change your view, never the exported image. SVG is self-contained. PNG uses your browser’s canvas and is capped at 8,192 pixels per side / 24 megapixels. Markdown references a file you add to your repository.
